I did this cake in a hurry. My hubby & I had just driven from VA to GA (we were house hunting in VA)--10 hrs in the winter. I came in the house & finished making this cake. I baked and froze the cakes before we left. It wasn't the best, but our little girl was elated about her mermaid cake. That's all that mattered.
